ABOUT MICHAEL

I first became interested in photography in high school, working as a yearbook photographer. Full disclosure: while I genuinely enjoyed taking pictures, one big motivation was that it let me ride the band bus with my girlfriend!

Over the years, I’ve always loved capturing memories from vacations, work trips, birthdays, and holidays. But it wasn’t until I retired from a long career in engineering and training — with chapters in the Navy, IBM, Cisco, and Red Hat—that I began to explore photography with deeper intention.

Today, I strive to create images that do more than document — hopefully they invite reflection. My work leans toward the artistic, aiming to evoke emotion, spark conversation, and offer a sense of calm and connection.
